Inktober 2026 – Day 31 – I Made It!

Here it is – the final tile for my first completed Inktober Challenge! 🙂 I have to say – I’m happy that I took the time to complete each tile every day. Now I know it can be done and next year I can challenge myself further with a bit more complexity or with combining some of the tangles to make a more integrated tile. Here’s the group shot from Day 21 onwards.

And here’s the whole collection for Inktober 2026!

So where do I go from here? I was thinking that I’d like to do the previous years’ Inktober Challenges but didn’t want the “pressure” of having to continue doing one every day because that’d likely take me into August 2027. And I know me… it would burn me to miss a day and ruin a “perfect” record, lol! That and the fact that it’ll be harder to keep track of the days and the months are different lengths. So… I think I may try to do the Inktober 2025 challenge on the next “31-dayed month”, which will be December 2026. January is notoriously busy for me so the next one after that may be in March 2027. I think that will make doing the past challenges more enjoyable and not simply a task to check off a to-do list.

I also may start to document my journeys with other hobbies – I’m currently engaging with the kalimba and I’ve dipped my toe back into learning how to crochet for amigurumi. I’m also very much into nature photography these days. I don’t have a DSLR or anything – just an old iPhone and a clip-on macro lens, but I really enjoy taking the time to observe nature around me and getting a photo or two (or video) on occasion. Maybe I’ll save them all up and post them by seasons or make a video or something with them? We’ll see!

Alrighty – this is Inktober 2026 signing off! Stay tuned for the next adventure! 🙂
